Join us at the gallery on Friday, Sept 27th at 4:30pm to meet goldsmith Nanci Modica and learn about her technique of ancient chain weaving. Nanci will demonstrate her process using 20k and 22k gold and explain how she uniquely creates each piece of jewelry using ancient jewelry construction techniques.
Nanci has shown her jewelry line in Telluride since 2020 and will be in town displaying her latest handmade items from Sept 26 – 30. She is among a small number of artisans who maintain the Classical jewelry tradition signature to the ancient Etruscan, Greek, Roman, and Byzantium craftsmen.
