Slate Gray South presents Reminiscence – a reflection on 2022, a year of challenges, triumph, and growth. At the start of 2022, Slate Gray Gallery closed its original location in Kerrville, TX. Fast forward to June 2nd for the opening of a second Telluride location: Slate Gray South. In the span of a week, our (mostly new!) team received more than 300 new artworks from the former Telluride Gallery of Fine Art and installed an exhibition just in time for the first Art Walk of the summer. What has not changed with the expansion is the spirit of philanthropy that defined Slate Gray from the get-go. That means proceeds made from sales of the work at Slate Gray Galleries goes right back out the door and into the community to support arts-based nonprofits.
As Telluride’s off season waits on deck, we can’t help but reflect on all of the extraordinary artists who graced our walls during their solo and group exhibitions in 2022. Reminiscence features the exhibiting artists of 2022: Gordon Brown, Gil Bruvel, Rebecca Crowell, David Davis, Dana Flores, Bruce Gomez, Cie Hoover, Julee Hutchison, Judith Kohin, Christopher Peter, Silvio Porzionato, Gina Sarro, Topher Straus, Kathryn Tatum, Maggie Taylor, Joseph Toney, Jerry Uelsmann, Goedele Vanhille, and Amy Van Winkle.
